Rai-che visiting England by LeSoldatMort Rai-che visiting England by LeSoldatMort
My mom told me that we will go to London this year.
I think it's not a good idea.

Something very silly I made up after short discussion on this topic with my husband ~tTtroy <3

You know at least I use the british humor.

Going to London is a good idea: think of all the lovely chances to mock the British in their own country! :icontrollfaceplz:
The bearskin joke =

Haha, at least with their stereotypes!
You know I saw this -> [link] when I was last summer in Paris, so ...I'm at least taking a top hat, monocle, cane and tuxedo and I'll drink a tea at five o'clock every day in London, saying how splendid and charming weather we have even tho it will be raining all the time :iconisayplz:

The crappy weather stereotype is so 100% true it's scary! Don't forget to bring an umbrella or a raincoat with you, always u_u Unless you want to mingle with the odd local customs and go out in the rain wearing shorts, very light tees and flip-flops, of course :XD:

Oh my little continental friends,I must make 2 points to you;

1: This is the British grenadier hat of the same period as yours: [link]

2: The Grenadier guards, who you've drawn, were permitted to allow every man to wear bearskins, in honour of all the French Grenadiers they slaughtered at Waterloo

Yeah, I know, but not so tall and awesome as ours right? D
The demonstration is the reason for the second picture actually xD

1. As ~Kaiser-Conti said, the joke is that it's me on the picture as a re-enactor in our times. I know how the bearskins of english pig heads looked, don't worry xD They really got into my mind at Waterloo last year.

2. Yes that's what makes the basic joke even more silly.

Ah! Well, still, Some Bearskins are better than no Bearskins :D

I do hope you get to come to England, you should see HMS Victory too ;) LOL.

1. How tall is the bearskin you linked?

2. They didn't slaughter too many in combat, as the 1st Grenadiers of the Guard - the embodiment of the Imperial Guard - didn't take part in the final attack against the Brits. Someone noted that because of that "they started ripping their moustache in anger" And finishing off the last Guard square? "oh jolly! how heoric! I say, we need to honour our brave boys!" =P

3. I don't get your point, as rai was just stating that the French bearskins of the napoleonic period are prettier than the current (mid xix century?) British pattern =P Which is undisputedly true xD

pity that they don't wear cuirasses, the Life Guards, Blues&Royals and Italian Corazzieri look so spiffy with them.

You also used meme faces, and they made this hilarious.

Although technically the plain bearskin is quite effective for...standing...around.
